Associate Membership
This grade of membership is designated for those not eligible for full membership, but associated in some way with the industry.
Fees
The following fee is payable upon joining the South African Chefs Association and annually thereafter.

Corporate Membership
This class of membership is open to all suppliers of goods and services within the industry. The purpose of this category is to bring suppliers into closer contact with both members of industry and the Association as a whole, to mutual benefit.
Benefits of Corporate membership
Corporate Members details are posted on the South African Chefs Association website, with a link to their website (where applicable).
The South African Chefs Association logo may be used on member company stationery, indicating said company as a “Corporate Member”. Please note that this does not imply endorsement by SACA, it is simply representative of Association membership.

Youth Membership
This grade of membership is designated to Junior /commis chefs in the industry, as well as trainees / in service training within a recognised program. In individual cases, this grade of membership follows that of junior membership and is available only for a maximum of three years, after which the individual is automatically upgraded to full member status.

Junior Membership
This grade of membership is designated for trainees and students in recognised hospitality training programmes i.e. culinary trainees within the Defence Force, culinary students, or members whose careers are based on practical rather than academic or structured foundations. In individual cases, this grade of membership is available only for a maximum of two years, after which the individual is automatically upgraded to intermediary member status.

Professional Membership
This category of membership is open to all practising and former chefs, hotel school graduates who have been in the industry for more than three years, and all persons directly involved in the hotel, catering, or hospitality industry.
They should:
Hold a position of some standing within the industry.
Have followed a recognised training course.
Have been an intermediate member for three years.

Fellow Membership
Fellow Members are selected from those members who have been with the Association for over ten years, and at the discretion of the Board of Directors have been selected as Fellow Members as an appreciation for their loyalty towards the Association.

Training Provider Membership
This class of membership is open to all cookery schools, training institutions and colleges within the industry. The purpose of this category is to bring the school, training institution or college into closer contact with both members of industry and the Association as a whole, to mutual benefit.

The South African Chefs Association logo may be used on member company stationery, indicating “Training Provider Member”. Please note however, that this does not imply endorsement by SACA, it is simply representative of membership.
