Goldcrest Young Chef of the Year

This year’s prize for the winner of the Goldcrest Young Chef of the Year is a magnificent work experience trip to the Dusit Thani Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand!  Previous winners include Abubaker Bagaria, Jodi-Ann Pearton and Pierre Cronje, and the work experience destinations included London, Ireland and Dubai.

So what do you need to do to enter this fantastic competition? Create a delicious three course menu using ingredients from Goldcrest’s fabulous array of products.  The Entry Form, menu, recipes and photographs must be received by the South African Chefs Association by 14h00 on Wednesday the 1st of September 2010.

Finalists will compete in a cook-off at the Southern Sun Centre for Culinary Excellence on Thursday the 14th of October.  All finalists that are not from Gauteng will be flown to Johannesburg for the cook-off, with travel, accommodation, transport and food covered by SACA.
